I have worked for nearly 20 years as a retreat facilitator, writer, and spiritual program creator.
I have crafted and hosted hundreds of retreat experiences, transformational processes, and special ceremonies.
My deepest passion is co-creating moments that invite people into powerful connection with themselves, one another, and the world.
I strive to learn from old wisdom to find new pathways of making meaning in our lives that break the bonds of oppressive forces, ideals, and constructs.
I strive to make my work inclusive and available to you, and also (imperfectly but devotedly) strive to continually grow and educate my awareness of my personal intersections of privilege and oppression to bring honesty and clarity to the liberation movement and my work.
I spend most of my time tending and sharing life with my three children (ages 10, 8, and 6), my beloved partner Robby, and our two pit bull pups. I nurture communities and tend my little plot of land in Louisville, KY.
I was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, a place I continue to call Home. I was home-schooled most of my life in a rural setting and spent many hours pursuing my special interests, which ranged from world religions to quantum mechanics. I attended the University of Louisville and earned a B.A. in Philosophy, which allowed me to study a little of everything, everywhere, all at once.
From an early age, I felt very drawn to spiritual spaces. Raised Catholic, I have a lifelong regard for deep ritual and community. While I am not religiously affiliated, I strive to be a reverent person with an active practice of devotion, attention, and service. I believe and experience what we call ‘material’ and ‘spiritual’ as weft and warp of reality.
At age 15, I traveled to Haiti and had a transformational mystical experience. The Haitian people awakened me to intersectional solidarity, liberation theology, and the lineage of change makers across time and space. This led to a profound personal passion for social justice.
I have been teaching classes and co-facilitating religious/spiritual programs and retreats since I was in grade school. I worked for years facilitating retreats that led people to engage at the margins of society, recognizing that we are all, as Thomas Merton wrote, “shining like the sun,” and that our personal liberation is bound to all others’. I also worked for years writing small group processes to learn about and engage with global poverty, systems of power, and grassroots efforts for social change.
Over the years, I have accompanied over a thousand people through meaningful life moments. It is my personal privilege and calling to serve as a companion on your journey. I am ever in awe at this mysterious existence, the joy it is to continually learn and explore, and the cosmic love that evolves as our collective and personal Being-Becoming.
